Lights, Camera, Cymru! is a skills development training program which was launched in 2023 as Lights, Camera, Caerphilly! and has been run by Third Time Lucky Productions since its inception. So far the scheme has only been run within the Caerphilly County and has been funded by Caerphilly Arts Development Team, but in 2025 we are aiming to branch out of the county to give opportunities to aspiring creatives across South Wales.

In 2024 the TV and film industry giants Films@59 became a major supporter of the scheme, providing us with equipment to help create the most professional set possible for our trainees. We are also supported by Iris Dive Media, Firebug Lighting, Ivy Promotions & Photography LTD, Ask The Grips LTD, and the University of South Wales.

Since 2023, we have given 16 young and aspiring actors training followed by paid work on our short films, giving them their first taste into the world of the TV and Film industry. In 2024 we also created our first trainee positions, giving six creatives; all of who either are or have been students at the University of South Wales; paid work on our short films, in the roles they aspire to work in. One of whom has since gotten the role of Production Assistant on an exciting HETV production which has recently wrapped filming in Wales.
